Creatures Pet Store has over 14,000 gallons of freshwater teeming with fish. Our 160 tanks offer a variety of species, including arrowanas, cichlids, angels, discus, piranhas, plecos, sharks, stingrays, loaches, guppies, platies, swordfish, goldfish, and many more, as well as a great selection of aquatic plants to create new depth and colour into your aquarium. We also have a great selection of beautiful bettas, also known as the Siamese Fighting Fish.
We receive new fish and other aquatic livestock every week, so check back with us often, and if you do not see what you like, we offer a special order program to help you find your new fish.

1. Good Aquarium & Acclimation
Fish keeping is a hobby, and hobbies are activities that you should look forward to doing. Creating your own aquatic environment to house the fish you choose is certainly a very rewarding experience. as the primary care giver of these fish it is as much your responsibility to ensure you understand the process of maintaining your aquarium as it is to learn about and provide a suitable setup that is appropriate for the species it will house. 2. Betta Care in a Bowl
General Information: The Betta originated from Thailand, and lived in rice paddies, swamps, and other wetlands. Betta fish are part of the Labrynth fish family (family of fish that have an organ that permits them to breathe air), this is why the Betta may be kept in a bowl without aeration. This does not mean that they do not use their gills to breathe, nor does mean that a filter is not a good idea to aerate and filter the water. It does mean that a Betta can happily live out its lifespan of 2 to 4 years in a non aerated non filtered bowl when appropriate care is provided for this type of an environment.
